Cavalcadence plays Rebel 1 - First time playing Rebel


So... unlocked a new character! Which means a new character to unlock a Golden Weapon for! Though... probably not immediately. I mean, what are the odds of getting a Screwdriver on my very first Rebel run? =)

...umm, pretty good, apparently. ^^;

The game offered Rebel an early 1-2 Screwdriver... and given the way proc-gen randomness works... I figured it might be a good idea to try to make use of it while it was available (since it might not be available on the next run, or the run after that, or the run after that...).

So rather than starting out with a run or two to get used to playing a character other than Melting... I started out by almost immediately picking up a melee weapon I probably hadn't used in years (i.e. since the time I was unlocking Golden Weapons for the other characters). ^^;

And, as expected, I was fairly rusty with the Screwdriver. And, though Rebel did play well enough to get to and defeat Big Bandit... not too long after that, the rustiness caught up. =p

Ah well. Definitely not as far as I was hoping to get, but... hopefully next time will go better. =)

Some notes and possible points of interest:

0:00 0-1: Rebel + Revolver
Though I haven't seen any gameplay of Rebel, I have heard that you can sacrifice health to summon helpers! Definitely could be useful... though of course a lot depends on how long they last and how intelligently they play. ^^;
Anyway, this first run is basically to test out how the character works, and see how far we can get. ^_^ Though if an opportunity for a Golden Weapon presents itself, we'll definitely try for that instead. ^.^

Well that could've gone better. =p Definitely not used to using the screwdriver for defense; too used to the wrench's wider swing, I guess. ^^;
