Cavalcadence plays Aria 44: 0-gold run, 1-1 challenge (Crypt of the NecroDancer: SYNCHRONY)
Crypt of the NecroDancer (PC(W,M,L)/Steam)
SYNCHRONY DLC (Early Access) 3.7.5-b4897 (2023 Nov 14)
Cavalcadence plays Aria 44: 0-gold run, 1-1 challenge (All Zones Mode: SYNCHRONY)
So I was trying some 0-gold Aria runs... and several runs in, the game gave Aria a really nice seed that gave her a pretty strong build, just from the items in the first level! Unfortunately, the rest of that run didn't go as well as I would've liked (a careless mistake ended the run)... but it did get me thinking about the 1-1 challenge (i.e. you can obtain items only on the very first level of your run) again. It'd definitely been a while since I'd recorded a 0-gold 1-1 challenge... so I figured, sure, should be fun. =)
Of course, I wasn't expecting every seed to have a really nice first level... and sure enough, some of them gave Aria no useful items, or only marginally-useful items... but eventually, this run happened. ^_^
So here it is... my second ever "0-gold 1-1 challenge" Aria win! Hope you enjoy!

25:44 Zone 1 Boss: The Golden Lute
Using the "confusion cancel" strat I discovered by accident during my "No Nazar Charm" Low Percent win (Aria 22).
Basically, if a Lute event starts on the same beat as when Aria would normally get confused, the event cancels the confusion!
So if you hit the Lute once, then simply wait for the Lute's confusion to wear off (it'll get transferred to Aria), then after that, proceed normally (hit Lute to make it confused, then hit it while it's confused, etc, etc)... you won't have to worry about Aria getting confused in the battle again. =)
Basically, the damage lines up so that the Lute event at 5 damage (dragons summoned) cancels the next Aria confusion... and the Lute event at 9 damage (wall pig cascade) cancels the one after that. =)
27:27 "Ha hah!"
27:31 "You won! Coin Score: 0" My second ever 0-gold 1-1 challenge Aria win! ^_^
(and in case anybody was curious, the previous one was Aria 32)
