Assault Shell 2 is an upcomming shmup by Team Overloaded.
Unlike it`s first entry, there are some different mechanics.
You now have two SP attack types called Styles, which are Force (Power focus) and Burst (Speed focus). Using the SP attack will also generate an implosion around the ship, cancelling bullets that touch it.
Stands are now called Installs, which are represented with a PNC gauge.
When attacking enemies with the SP attack, the PNC gauge will fill up.
Another fancy mechanic about the PNC gauge is that when it crosses the PNC line and the PNC gauge is not full, it can be used for bullet canceling. However, doing this causes the PNC gauge to overheat, and will require to cool down.
Rank difficulty increases when using the Installs and you collect items during stands. Rank difficulty lowers slowly when no Install is active. However, when rank reaches MAX, it cannot be decreased until you recieve a miss.
There is also hidden UFO items scattered trough the stages.
Result screen pictures are almost similar to DoDonPachi SaiDaiOuJou!
Type-B (Archer Beta) is a ship with a wide shot type. It has 2 Style variants:
-Force: Thorn Buster
-Burst: Rose Breaker
Controller used: Elegate USB XBOX 360 controller
