Asteroids approaching Earth
Recently, several asteroids have passed relatively close to Earth, but without posing a risk of collision. For example, the asteroid 2014 TN17, classified as "potentially hazardous", made its closest approach to Earth on March 26, 2025, at a distance of about 5.1 million kilometers. Despite being considered an object of concern due to its size and proximity, NASA has confirmed that there is no risk of impact.
In addition, other smaller asteroids, such as 2025 FQ7 and 2025 FZ3, have also passed close to Earth recently, but at safe distances, ranging from 2.86 million to 3.23 million kilometers. These events are closely monitored by space agencies to ensure planetary safety.
