795Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Astro’s Playroom are both legitimately great platformers in their own right, but from the former being tied to a VR headset to the latter being a brief and free pack-in tech demo, the IP hasn’t really been able to spread its wings so far.
That’ll be changing soon, however, because with the upcoming Astro Bot, the fan-favourite series is finally getting a full-fledged console platformer. Everything that we have seen of Astro Bot so far has looked incredibly promising, and thus far, it’s looking like it’s going to be one of the best games to release for the PS5 in 2024.
