ASUS F550CC unboxing and short first look
12but here is my full review in words for some reason that ive changed it to the K501 FROM ASUS
THE ASUS F550CC IS AIMED FOR CONSUMERS ON THE BUDGET SIDE THAT COMES FROM AN I3-I7 3RD-4TH GEN PROCESSOR WHICH IS ULV or ultra low voltage with embedded 4gb of ram for up to 8 but maxed to 12gb and also can be configured up to 740m
the specs that i have is the 3rd gen i5 3337u clocked at 1.6-2.7ghz with 4gb of memory and 720m gpu
for gaming it is average the 720m uses a fermi architecture making the gpu to be more into low power consumption but performs better that the hd4000 compared to the 4400 from lenovo flex 14 and the 5500 from the k501 the 720 is slightly similar speed to the 625m maily an entry-level gpu making games playable from lowest to slightly medium settings the i5 3337u proc is excellent giving much power efficiency and turbo boost making it easier when doing task the 15.6 inch 768p touchscreen tn is mediocre brightness is below average making it unusable outdoors but great for indoors or shady areas just be aware of its glare viewing angles are fine and as far as it goes the hd webcam is fine keyboard is cool it is comfortable in my taste but the cramp area is not the arrow keys are a little bit spaced out for the trackpad it is responsive with gestures it is safe. performance goes like i said it is average the fermi gpu from nvidia is efficient but laks power to play on high settings in modern to future games making some games to lag a bit but cranking it to med or the lowest settings it is smooth as butter however when it goes to 60 mins it will thermal throttle and the hot air blows on the left side but some part of the palmrest and keys tend to get hot but not a whole problem the fan is quiet and decent as well as the speakers which is excellent so lastly is conclusion in its category it is great and cool for budget use forunder 40k pesos or 700 ollars it is great but the reason of that i didn't review this is because there are some defects and i have changed it to the k501 with a metallic frame except the underbelly, hinge and the screen bezzel and an option of dual storage plus a matte and a 1080p display plus it cost around 37995 for the core i 5 with 940m gpu aaanyway as i said the f550cc is a grat laptop for students and consumers who are on the go
