ASUS has rolled out the NUC 15 Pro+ mini host, a barebone system powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor, with a price tag of 7,299 yuan—around 1,014 USD. The device comes in a sleek silver finish with dimensions of 144×112×42 millimeters. It features a well-thought-out cooling setup that includes a 70mm turbo fan, three 8mm heat pipes, and a dual-fin cooling module. The dual air outlet, split between left and right, helps keep the system cool during intensive tasks. This makes it a practical option for those looking to pack a lot of performance into a small space without sacrificing thermal efficiency. Inside, the system supports dual DDR5 SO-DIMM memory slots that can handle speeds up to 6400 MT/s, which is great for multitasking and heavy-duty computing. There are also two M.2 slots—one 2280 slot that runs on PCIe 5.0×4 and one 2242 slot on PCIe 4.0×4—giving gurus flexibility when setting up storage. Network-wise, the mini host is built with an Intel I226 2.5GbE wired network interface and a BE201 Wi-Fi 7 wireless module. These features ensure that you get a reliable and speedy connection, whether you’re working on large data projects or just need a stable network setup. Looking at the connectivity options, the front of the unit offers a USB-C port with 20Gbps transfer speeds, two 10Gbps USB-A ports, and a power button for quick access. On the back, you’ll find a security lock, a DC-in port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two HDMI 2.1 TMDS ports, a 2.5GbE RJ45 port, one more 10Gbps USB-A port, and a USB-A port with a 480Mbps transfer rate. This range of ports covers most connectivity needs, making the device adaptable for a variety of setups.
