In which I play "Air Strike", written by Steven A. Riding, and published by the English Software Company in 1982. It seems that this might have been the first game published by ESC. My first impressions, after playing for a few minutes weren't great. However, as I got into it and started to understand what the on-screen counters represented, bombs and missiles, both of which are limited, but can be partially filled by shooting fuel and ammo dumps, the game grew on me. It's actually pretty fun. Controls are a bit finicky, but not bad. The least good thing is that bombs have be launched with the space bar; that's tough to use while flying with a joystick.
