8In which I play "Astro-Droid", published by Red Rat Software in 1987, programmed by Don Rigby. Don't take this too harshly, Don, but the game is too damn hard to enjoy. Maybe if I'd paid good money for it back in the day I would have had more patience. Actually, I almost certainly would have had more patience. Hmm.
Anyway, this is very much inspired by the arcade game Star Force. There are some decent ideas here, and had the difficulty had a bit of a gentler ramp, or there were some difficulty settings that could be chosen, then it would have been a lot more enjoyable, and, presumably, popular.
