6In which I play "Haunted Hill", published in 1982 by Swifty Software, and written by George P. Richardson. This is basically Centipede. It's not bad, although it isn't very polished. There a number of quirks, and it features my least-favourite game difficulty enhancer, the randomly-moving enemy. Those are the ghosts. I'm not sure what the centipede in this game is supposed to be, but they segments aren't easy to hit.
All that said, it's not terrible, and if I had the choice of buying Centipede for $30 and Haunted Hill for $5, back in the day, I might well have gone with Haunted Hill and not been upset about it.
