Atari 8 Bit Game Play, Phobos
3In which I play "Phobos", published by the Atari Program Exchange (APX) in 1982, and programmed by Greg Christensen. I didn't realize it at the time I was playing, but this appears to be a sequel to Caverns of Mars. In my defense, I did note the similarity. Of course, Phobos is one of Mars' two moons, so that's a bit of cleverness!
I like this game! It has a nice variety of difficulty settings, and a progression of enemies and situations as the player descends into the caverns. I can see myself coming back to this, and I think I will seek out other programs by Mr. Greg Christensen.
