9In which I play "The Final Fight", written by Frank T. Wittenmayer, and published by Happy Computer magazine in 1987. Mr. Wittenmayer wrote some very nice games indeed.
This one is fun to play, and nicely put together. There are a couple of things about it that would be improvements, if implemented. The "vibration" of the terrain at the bottom of the screen is distracting. It's a nice effect, but should be used sparingly. The other one is the amount of inertia in the player controls. That needed some tuning to improve play-ability. All that said, it's an impressive game, and if it was a type-in, which I suspect it was, it is all the more so.
