Atari 8-Bit Game Play, Wing War
4In which I play "Wing War", published in 1983 by Imagic, and programmed by Alan Smith and Steve DeFrisco. This is a cool cool game that is also really really difficult. Take from that what you will. The idea is to fight the various creatures, which, unfortunately re-spawn more-or-less immediately when you defeat them. All it takes for the tougher ones is to leave the screen and come back. For the less tough ones, they spawn back right away whether you leave the screen or not. Collect crystals, build up your power, defeat the most difficult monsters and find the secret treasure room. I didn't really come close to accomplishing most of that, but I did get a good feel for the game.
