I decided to take a break from the videos I usually make for right now.
This is just to show some Atari games that I have. Most are good. 1 or 2 are really bad. 1 is the worst game I've ever played.

Adventure - Zelda 2 'Palace'

Asteroids - Zanac 'Title'

Bowling - Battletoads 'Arctic Cavern'

Combat - Astyanax 'Red Road'

Defender - BattleToads 'Volkmier's Inferno'

E.T. - an NSF music file I made 'UNTITLED.nsf'
First off, note that this has been called the worst game ever. Rather than review it like the Angry Video Game Nerd, I just want to explain this game. I spent about 20 minutes really trying to figure it out. This is what I came up with. The game starts with a title screen and actual music. I don't know if it's really the E.T. theme song. But with a nice picture and first actual videogame music, it did good on that part. Anyway, the first thing you see is E.T. land on I think in a forest or something, and then the ship leaves. From what I understand, you wander around gathering little dots which I guess are your points. So rather than having an action game, it was an item collecting game. The basic idea is that you gather these dots for points, avoid the holes all over the place, and avoid the people walking around. When they get you, they take you to something that resembles a cage I guess. Just move randomly and you break free. Press the button to walk fast or extend your neck. Unless you fell down a hole, the neck extending move is useless. The number on the bottom screen tells you how many steps you've taken. When it reaches zero (assuming you sit through the game that long), you can't move. But some guy walks up to you, touches you, then you get another 5000 steps. The map itself lacks consistency. It's so bad that I can't even map it. I show this when you walk from one screen to another, it either repeats or takes you to a different screen. So, I forced myself to play this game long enough to figure it out. I explained how it works and the tip of the day is NEVER play this game. I didn't pay for it. It was given to me from someone who doesn't even have an Atari.

Missile Command - Mega Man 5 'Star Man'
This is the best Atari game I've ever played. It's fun, it has high replay value, you get bonuses, it's easy to play, and the overall gameplay is perfect what you do. Defend the cities from the missiles. Press the button on where your cursor is to shoot a missile and have it explode there. I think that this game is what's called A+ material. It's 1981, give it a break.

Ms. Pac-Man - Chip N Dale 'Stage 7'
I can't say much about this game other than I prefer the Nintendo version. It's one of the earliest videogames I've seen, and still is being made for today's consoles. That's saying enough.

Phoenix - Gradius II 'Burning Heat'
Even though this game is very basic, and even available for TI83+ and higher calculators, I still consider it to be one of the best vertical plane shooter games. I've played this game in an Arcade and the only difference is that the Arcades have better graphics. Shoot all the enemies on the screen while avoiding them as they fall. After defeating that set, a new set appears. This is one of the first games that had multiple levels instead of multiple maps. After you beat a certain amount of levels, you battle against a boss. I died after the first boss to end the game.

Space Invaders - Duck Tales 'The Moon'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYYo2sqhRIw

Superman - Mega Man 9 'Thunder Tornado'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYYo2sqhRIw

Video Pinball - Chip N Dale 'Stage 05'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYYo2sqhRIw

Video Olympics - Tetris 'Type B'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYYo2sqhRIw

I decided to add my own music unless the game actually had any. I hope you enjoyed my music selection. I also left the Atari in B&W mode for true Atari gameplay.

I also added my own nsf that I tried to recompose at the end of the video. Check it out. The program I used to make NES sounding music is not a typical music maker. It's more of a hex editor.
