7While our French and Polish allies undertake ground strike missions in the area, we're tasked with keeping the skies clear of any hostiles.
I got some help from Estonian MIG-21's and later utilized Polish F-16's by dragging those Fulcrums up north to let them being flank by the Poles. On a side note the devs did a good job of predicting the future - at the time of release of the game (in 1996!), Poland didn't even considered which jet it would buy for its Air Force - F-16, Gripen or Mirage 2000, it wasn't even member of NATO then (Poland joined NATO in 1999). Polish Air Force in 2002 decided to buy 48 brand new Block52+ F-16s. Contract was signed in April 2003 and Lockheed-Martin delivered first units in 2006.
Mystery hits between 20:00 and 21:00 as my wingman wanishes nowhere to be seen - maybe he run out of fuel? But that's unlikely as wingman will punch out in such case.
