Attack from Mars (In Color!) Pinball Review
Here's a look at one of my most favorite pinball machines, from Bally released in 1996 it's Attack from Mars! The AFM machine at Flippers has the amazing Color DMD kit installed so the Martians are finally green instead of the normal orange.
The game is pretty simple. You want to shoot all of the lane shots three times to complete them, there's a lane for the multiball and the stand up targets that spell out MARTIAN for the Martian Attack Multiball. The middle of the playfield is the main gimmick of the game, the Flying Saucer! Hit the three bank of targets and it will drop down and you've got to shoot up the middle to try to break through the shields and finally sink the shot to destroy the saucer!
Make sure you check out the excellent version the guys at Farsight made on The Pinball Arcade as well! As always big thanks to Dave and the crew at Flippers for having us!
