Attack of the Seawolf 12: Final Torpedo (Cold Waters w/ DotMod)

Seawolf Campaign series version 3. China's saber-rattling has crashed the Asian economy, and China decided best way to sustain itself is to take over Spratly islands and its resources. US is not going to stand for that and scrambled USS Seawolf out of Guam...
-----
00:00 Start
Previously, USS Seawolf stopped the Russian fleet reinforcing PLAN by sinking Kiev and her tender near Japan. However, Seawolf has suffered some damage. It had to run for Guam for repairs and reloads. Its new assignment is to stop the PLAN amphib landing force heading to Spratly Island.
01:08 Force Intercepted
We caught up the invasion fleet just past Scarborough Shoal. We quickly slowed to 5 kt, deployed towed array, and started identifying contacts... It's a standard box formation of 4 escorts Luhu, Jianhu, Jianghu3, Sovremenny, 1 Romeo sub hiding in front, and 5 landing craft this time, 2 x Qiongsha, 2 x Yuting, and 1 x Yukan.
Given we are a bit short on torpedoes, we decided on convoy sniping... Launch only 6 torpedoes against the 5 landers and 1 sub while they are still over 15 km away. The plan was successful, and all 6 targets were sunk. We disengaged successfully. COMSUBPAC was pleased.
NEW PRIORITY ASSIGNMENT: Go back to Guam for a SEAL team and hit Yulin AGAIN (4th time?!?!)
08:49 Yulin... again
We arrived at Yulin's outskirts, and we were able to successfully sneak in and drop off the SEAL team. Getting out, however, is going to be an adventure. Luhu's better sonar seems to have caught us, as its closest approach was enough to detect us, but it just keep making figure 8s, as if unsure. Luda, on the other hand, turned around and left. When we left the deployment zone the Luhu came after us, so we were forced to use 2 of our 7 torpedoes, killing both ships, and disengaged. COMSUBPAC was pleased.
NEW PRIORITY MISSION: Destroy PLAN wolfpack southeast of Tokyo, Japan.
With 5 torpedoes remaining, we are weary of expending them. However, when JMSDF patrols showed a PLAN contact moving southwest, we decided to engage it.
21:20 Anti-sub Sweep
We located a Ming and a Song. We launched two torpedoes and destroyed both. COMSUBPAC was pleased.
With 3 torpedoes remaining, we received our next order...
URGENT // NEW PRIORITY MISSION // URGENT -- China has scrambled her sole Xia class SSBN with Russian attack subs as escorts. SINK IT (or there may be no US to return to). It is leaving Qingdao soon. Good luck.
Argh, with only 3 torpedoes, there's no way we can achieve a clean-sweep. We have to reserve 2 for the Xia, and we can expect 2-3 escort subs.
Well, we'll do our best, and let's pray our best is good enough.
26:45 Boomer Caught
We quickly detected the contacts... Xia boomer, escorted by Victor III, and what we thought was a Sierra, but it turned out to be Akula instead. We launched all three remaining torpedoes upon detection, over 15 km away. Two targeting Xia, one on Victor III.
Akula is the furthest away and as soon as she detected incoming torpedoes (doglegged, of course) she turned north and went flank, leaving everybody else behind.
The torpedoes hit their respective targets, and we disengaged before the Akula turned back.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
Campaign won!

In the hypothetical Cold Waters (DotMod) Y2000 NATO campaign, Taiwan declared independence, and Great Britain delayed returning Hong Kong to China after massive protests. China threatened retaliation, which crashed the Asian economy. Russia decided to have an arms fire sale to China... and China is buying naval assets (along with Russian "advisors") to take over the South China Sea and its resources, plus attacks on nearby countries. NATO decided to intervene... and the first response was US Navy Submarines... USS Seawolf, the most advanced predator of the oceans...
