Attack on Kitten is a 2D action side-scrolling platform game, in development by Wisp Entertainment. According to the devs, their aim is "to recreate the 16-bit games of yesterday by utilizing classic game design to deliver a truly great gaming experience". Some of the mentioned inspirations are Mega Man X, Super Metroid, and Donkey Kong Country.

In this title, you play as Kat the Cat Knight, who's on a quest to save the Cat Kingdom from the invading fish armies of the evil goldfish Xerxes. Assisting her on this quest are a small array of magical cats who can transform into weapons or abilities. Ranging from Excalipurr granting Kat a broadsword, to Pushin' Boots granting Kat the ability to dash.

From what I've played, the action and physics are solid, and the music's great. My only complaints would be the knockback (especially when dash jumping), the inability to dash and shoot (although that may be a deliberate design decision), and the odd choppiness of the fight between Rebecca and the Fish Knight.

I'll keep some tabs here and there on this title. I wish the best of luck to the development team!
