This was an idea I had when Invasions was first shown off, glad I was finally able to do it for season 2! I'll put the rules in here (updated from what I say at the end as well)

Must pick one of three starter Ninjas between Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile.
One Random Character is Unlocked After Every Boss or Mini Boss.
One Random Character is Unlocked at the START of Every Mesa.
Not Allowed to Level Past Current Node, aka No Grinding.
Should the player fail any node, that character is considered dead and goes to the Netherrealm.
A Failed Survival or Test Your Might also count as death.

After the fact I changed recruitment to make it a bit more challenging, so if you want something a bit more difficult, make it only one Character per Mesa.
