Aurascope - v0.3 Demo Playthrough
24A demo playthrough for Aurascope, an upcoming 2D collectathon platformer where you get star power to interact with stuff to create platforms or remove obstacles.
This looks pretty promising so far as it looks good and plays well. There's a lot of different movement abilities to get around quickly (and I'm not very efficient with them). I tried to get as many energy cores as possible in the main levels but it appears there's a secret locked core for most of them that I didn't unlock. But it looks like it'd scratch that Mario 64 style gameplay as a 2D game. Opening the shop in town lets you spend coins (other than a core for 3000 coins everything else seemed to be a temporary buff). I'm not sure what the small gears or star reactors are for are for as I didn't find something to spend them on in the demo.
I'm not sure why I didn't manage to grab that rope at the end of the last level but it's a bit of a humorous goof.
