The Deadseat - Hardcore Mode Playthrough & Ending
147Playing through hardcore mode in The Deadseat which ups the difficulty noticeably and the ending. Having driven to the Happy Cave only to find out it's a tourist trap you get to try driving out.
This run is segmented as I died a few times on the final level. I made it through the first four nights fine even if it's pretty sloppily done (and the final level gets really sloppy). Obstacles tend to be the biggest problem as you don't always have time to position before needing to deal with a threat (and if an obstacle was approaching when steering you are almost guaranteed to hit it). Scavenging has less items available which makes it not too worthwhile and unless you're putting traps or barricades out before the level starts you just don't have time to do so.
Anyhow, hardcore makes an enjoyable game even more fun though I doubt I'll try to do it flawlessly like normal mode.
