Auto Mode only: vs. Khroma Dragon【Unknown Mode / No Items】Vesperia: Definitive Edition #21
Do you hear that? Do you see that? This is the one. This is the monster from the past who was a prototype for the future that we currently call the present. Hear it, see it. The shattering of glass. The imperfect void attack and magic, and now, bosses just don’t flinch at all!

—————
I saved Griffin for this battle for a specific reason. Both Khroma Dragon and Griffin share a lot of similarities. They are the same level, but they have slight difference in stats. Griffin has more defensive stats, more agility, and arte that can potentially last forever. Khroma Dragon has more artes and she doesn't believe in remaining in hit stun. She generates Void Attack and Void Magic pretty much every second, putting most bosses in Vesperia to shame. No matter what you throw at her, she is likely to just break through it and smack or stomp her enemies for massive damage. Look at what she did to Karol and Repede.
Griffin can be dangerous too, but it has to get within attacking range. The only way for it to make any distance is to use Overlimit, whereas Khroma Dragon would likely just use that and those Void skills to get through. There's also the falling rocks, aerial strikes, and arte sealing projectile, none of which is available to Griffin.
If you've played a few Tales games after Vesperia, you'd probably notice something about bosses and shields. If not, don't worry about it, because it isn't just the bosses any more. Even some normal enemies are refusing to flinch, and some of them are immune until they are broken by characters like Alvin or Law. Of all things to leave an impact, it just HAD to be Khroma Dragon.
Lastly, Estelle didn't revive Karol and Rita with a singular spell because I didn't allow her to use said spell. That one is on me. Estelle did her best. In fact, the whole party did their best with the tools and strategies that I gave them.
I feel like I let them down. ( ;_;)
Good thing that Griffin battle happened the way it did, right!? (• u•)
