As we unlock the higher tiers of tech, the researching takes a LOT more resources, so we need to continuously expand our farming. The berries we were feeding our research babies (what a strange sentence) aren't quite good enough, so we build the babies little log cabins and start to make them spicy berry salads...or something! Whatever it is, we need a new farm to get that going, so we make more robots to get these weeds and wheat automated, and since we automated the robot part production, it's much easier to create new robots!
