Autopilot | Event Mode Run #15 (Battle at the Gates) | Eternal Card Game
4This past weekend, Dire Wolf had a new Event mode to go along with the monthly Sealed league that was recently added to the game: Battle at the Gates. For those that follow the Eternal lore, you'll know that this has ties to the Sealed event, which is called Enemies at the Gate. The rules for this one were that you were playing the role of either the Clans or the Crownwatch at random each game. A random unit is put into play on turns 3, 6 and 9 for each player. Outside of that, it was just a normal Constructed event, but there was a "pool" of units that each side had so you could somewhat guess what you were going to roll on those turns.
Anyway, it wasn't my favorite event. I could've done better if I actually decided to tryhard and figure out the pool of units each side got on the three turns I mentioned and made plays based on that. But, instead, I just went on autopilot for the event as part of a 12 hour Twitch stream I did and it showed, going a combined 8-9 and finishing outside the top 1000. Maybe I'll actually decide to try harder next time around, but this is the one of the best runs I had and I always upload my best run when these come around so here it is. FTP Moment with a ton of mistakes being made (and I'm sure the comments section will be littered with people pointing them out lol).
