Infinity War is the first part in a two-part culmination and “finale” to the MCU as we know it and will land in theatres on May 4th, 2018.
The National Board of Review has announced honorees for its 2017 awards. Steven Spielberg‘s The Post took top honors with Best Film, with the full Top 10 also debuting and representing a diverse group. After allegations of abuse by Johnny Depp against Amber Heard that led to a very famous and public divorce, many have been calling for the character he plays in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, that of the dark wizard Grindelwald, to be recast. Now, speaking with EW about the sequel Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Yates has come to Depp’s defense, explaining why the role won’t be recast.
20th Century Fox has released the first Love, Simon trailer. Based on Becky Albertalli’s novel, the film follows seventeen-year-old Simon Spier, played by Nick Robinson, who is currently grappling with how to tell his family and friends that he’s gay. He’s also working to identify an anonymous classmate he’s fallen for online.
Variety reports that a new movie featuring Daphne and Velma, the teen-girl sleuths from “Scooby-Doo,” are getting their own origin story in a live-action feature-length film from Jennifer and Ashley Tisdale’s production banner Blondie Girl Productions.
