Sonic Mania is a buggy mess just like the games it’s based on and that’s part of why I love it. Seriously, every time I play through the game, it bugs somehow, someway and I end up seeing a new glitch half the time. It’s amazing

The Chemical Plant glitch happens when you use the Bubble Shield or Mighty’s Hammer Drop into the tube that leads to the boss I think. He’s either that or mashing the Jump Button to use the Bubble Shield or Hammer Drop into the boss itself before it starts. Sometimes it’ll eject you back into the pipe. Tho reentering the pipe sends you back. Also Mighty’s Hammer Drop sometimes makes the screen shift if used at the right time lol

Hydrocity I believe what happened was Tails tried to go into the tunnel but got stopped, so when I let him in he grabbed onto the hooks and bar thing. When I came in and pressed “A” he let go but maybe the trigger to make him stop spinning only applies when Sonic is close enough so he didn’t stop spinning until he drowned

Then with Lava Reef I have no idea why he jumped over it. I have legitimately never seen him do that before lol
