Lysithea is an interesting unit in this series mostly because she gets access to Mastermind as a personal skill. And because Mastermind is exactly the same as Discipline in Radiant Dawn, it translates to a +10 to all stats. If you look at her stats you can definitely tell that she got a huge buff to her stats from this, but you can also see some of her other stats did not appreciate the boost as much as the others. Just looking at her HP, Lck, and Def, and you can see just how frail she really was (and still is) before the omni boost that she got. The way that her stats are laid out, she is definitely considered a glass cannon in every sense of the word. However, because her Spd is just above average and her Lck is average to below average, she doesn't have the best avoid rates to help her out. So, with her terrible Def and HP, she actually gets one-shot by a lot of units and one-rounded by pretty much any physical unit with not much avoid to help her out. The caveat is that because she has such a high Mag stat, good Spd, and amazing Skl, she can opt to attack with Fenrir from range even though it is such an inaccurate weapon. So, all of those fights where she dies on the counter attack can be shrugged off by just using the siege tome instead. As for her weapon access, she only has dark tomes (I did end up forgetting about her Light magic aptitude from Three Houses once I was done recording, but it didn't end up mattering in the fights that she lost), but she does bring along a couple of them from Three Houses, Dark Spikes & Hades. Dark Spikes was previously seen on Shez earlier and has the same stats as before including the effectiveness against Horseback units. Hades is a new one to the series and is pretty much her big damage option, being 3 Mt more than Balberith. So, with all of those options at her disposal, she has 4 Dark tomes that she has for different use cases. Balberith for crits, Dark Spikes for accuracy/effectiveness, Hades for damage, and Fenrir for avoiding counterattacks.

The unit with the higher base speed will initiate first. (If unit has Shade or Stillness they will always choose who goes first). If both units have the same speed, the unit whose video it is will go first.

For weapons, the unit who is faster chooses the weapon they want the unit they are attacking gets to choose a weapon to counter them with. The unit who attacks first, goes through all the possible weapon combinations and picks whatever situation would give them the best chance at victory. After the initial turn, the only time a unit can change their weapon is on their turn.
