The unique"I AM" retreat is a 7 day period of intensive sadhana designed to create conditions of no escape for the ego. Many have experienced their true nature at these retreats, which started out at the Samadhi Center in Canada and now have become available online. We can't make awakening happen through our character's effort, but through deep meditation and self inquiry we learn to drop the "I thought" and surrender all knowing and all preferences so that the egoic mind loses power. In this way we enter the Samadhi state, creating the conditions for awakening to become much more likely. Once awakening or "kensho" is realized the retreats offer insights into stabilizing awareness in the natural state or the open state, recognizing the ground of existence that does not come and go as the "I AM".
