AYA Neo Air and AYA Neo 2 | AMD Ryzen 7 6800U and OLED display (2022)
51Portable gaming PC manufacturer AYA has announced plans to release the AYA Neo 2 based on AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor with RDNA 2 graphics later this year. It will be the most powerful model in the company's line of devices.
The move to the Ryzen 7 6800U promises a significant increase in graphics performance thanks to the integrated AMD Radeon 680M GPU based on the RDNA 2 architecture. At the moment, the only portable PC with RDNA 2 graphics is Valve's Steam Deck. AYA claims that its new console will be able to handle both AAA games and general PC tasks.
AYA has yet to reveal pricing and full technical specifications such as screen size, screen resolution, battery capacity and other specs, but has confirmed that AYA Neo 2 will feature LPDDR5-6400 memory, PCIe 4.0 storage, a fingerprint sensor, and USB 4.0 ports. Also, the manufacturer has published a series of images showing a completely new design of the upcoming device. The size of AYA Neo 2 will be smaller than Steam Deck.
In addition, this year AYA plans to release a cheaper and less powerful AYA Neo Air with an OLED display. Pre-orders for it are expected to open in China at the end of May ahead of the global launch.
