AYA NEO showed off the KUN, a gaming laptop that was first announced in January. Introduced today with the Pocket Air, AYA NEO describes the KUN as "arguably the most powerful Windows laptop yet." While the company has not revealed how it achieved this claim, it has already set the bar high with the NEXT II, which will pair Ryzen 7000 APUs with discrete GPUs.
Anyway, AYA NEO explains that the KUN has an 8.4" display, which makes it more of a competitor to the ONEXPLAYER 2 than an alternative to Win Max 2. By the way, the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U version of the ONEXPLAYER 2 is already available worldwide, which Minixpc sells as ONEXPLAYER 2 Pro EVA Limited Edition. However, AYA NEO supports the all-in-one form factor, which allows AYA NEO to include nearly full-sized gamepad buttons and controls.
The KUN will reportedly ship with Hall sensor joysticks, Hall triggers, an eight-way D-pad and two touch pads. In addition, the gaming PDA has three sets of shoulder buttons and will offer Windows Hello authentication with a fingerprint reader and front camera. The CEO of AYA NEO has previously hinted that the KUN will also have a comparatively large battery, which will likely also make it heavier than competing gaming handhelds. AYA NEO says it will soon feature KUN on Indiegogo, where it is to confirm availability, features, and pricing.
