Azshara is a beautiful coastal zone, cloaked in eternal autumn located in the eastern coast of Kalimdor. Surrounded by plenty of flora and beautiful sandy beaches, Azshara was once part of Zin-Azshari, the capital of the Kaldorei Empire. After the Sundering, much of Zin-Azshari fell to the oceans, but many elven ruins can be seen through the zone, reminding people of the once glorious Kaldorei Empire.

Azshara is intended for level 42-55 players, and in Phase 2, the blue dragon Azuregos can spawn there as a World Boss.

Trivia:
Azshara is named after Queen Azshara, the former queen of the Kaldorei Empire, named by the night elves that survived the Sundering.
Duke Hydraxis of the Hydraxian Waterlords makes their home in Azshara, in the far east reaches of the zone.
Azshara was once supposed to have its own battleground, Azshara Crater, but this battleground was scrapped during Vanilla development.
