Hey there, so this was basically something that came to me on a whim: "I wonder if it's possible to not use AC on any boss and still obtain S++", which eventually turned into "how many bosses can I do without AC before I inevitably come across bosses that can't be approached with the Zero style. I'll maintain the suspense about the number of bosses that are possible to defeat for now, but let's say the results are actually quite surprising for a game that's built heavily around its central mechanic.
In terms of the first possible fight, BB isn't changed that much: your biggest concern is dodging the ground flames he drops, as their crawling speed varies on Merciless. There's also the final part of Death Procession where I'm not certain you can gain enough height to dodge the boss' final scythe sweep without AC. No need to worry about it if you can finish off BB during the special move, however, which isn't particularly hard.
