[BA8] Unauthorized Autistic Access
1Supporters of the National Council on Severe Autism have appeared as panelists on the official NCSA podcast claiming that its wrong for autistic people other than the patients and family members of NCSA supporters to call themselves autistic, since they don't need to access disability support services and special education.
Will anyone tell Dr. Carmen Lopez-Arvizu of the Kennedy Kreiger Institute that the clinically diagnosed autistic people she is specifically directing these comments at exist within a description of disability that has RELIED on access to those EXACT services for over THIRTY YEARS, due to them.... ACTUALLY BEING DISABLED?
