I have a charity 5K fun run/walk event in Tampa coming up so I assembled and tested this quick and dirty third person camera rig.

No secret sauce here: MOLLE shotgun scabbard (photography duty bag), Dolica tripod, RAM clamp, RAM arm, RAM u-bolt, Dolica monopod, and some hot shoe adapter for an adjustable head. And pony because why not. Don't let that get in the way of the technical details now.

Downsides: No running. Since it's single strap and awkwardly balanced so it's prone to getting loose. Tightening it would probably help or using a sling or something to attach it to your waist.

It's also very complex to get the right angle on your own. I would recommend getting a buddy to help get the angle.

And of course it's very high profile. One does not simply walk through a door frame with this. Indoor airsoft use? Probably not.

And since it's a tripod+monopod weight on a single shoulder, boy it can get heavy.

Otherwise would be fun.

If enough people collectively bug me about it, I may do a tutorial video detailing how I made it but it all depends on what my subs want.

Camera is:
Veho MUVI K-Series / Veho MUVI K2
