Gruda really knows how to make himself look suspicious, despite his polite words. You'd think Falcom would have let him use a fake name or disguise so that players of the non-canon versions would be caught off guard.
Adol will have to do two mandatory quests by himself, one of which will reward you based on performance. Before doing the quests, be sure pay 100 g to the rumor monger in the alley.
After the quests, Karna will join the party, though she won't have up-to-date equipment. You may need to give her accessories to bring her up to par with the other party members.
