The Forest of Spores is a really short section with a boss in the middle.

This boss can poison you in its first form, but its second form has a ramming attack that will eventually leave it stunned.

The Roo memory cannot be read until you get the Sacred Beast Collar. Sadly, there's no auto-translate flag that you can toggle like in Ys Origin.

Eventually, you'll be in the Colonia Battlefield, where you'll find an unbeatable Galbalan to the north. To the east is Elduke, where Eldeel will pwn the party. Fortunately, there's a Roo nest nearby where you can buy stuff and get info on where to go next.
