"Back to the Future: The Game" is an episodic graphic adventure video game for PlayStation 3, based on the "Back to the Future" film franchise. Developed and published by Telltale Games, the game features Marty McFly and Doc Brown in a completely new adventure. Six months after the events of the third film, the DeLorean Time Machine mysteriously returns to Hill Valley - driverless! Marty must go back in time and get aid from a resistant teenage Emmett Brown to save the Doc he knows from certain death.
The game is split into five episodes, with the first episode released in December 2010. The game features original cast member voices, original music, and story input by trilogy writer and producer Bob Gale. The gameplay is true to the films, allowing players to meet up with their favorite characters like Biff, Jennifer, George, and Einstein. Players can change history and then cope with the unintended consequences. The game also includes built-in goal and hint systems to streamline gameplay for frustration-free interaction.
Despite being delisted from digital stores in 2016 due to expired licenses, the game continues to be popular among fans for its immersive gameplay and realistic representation of the Back to the Future universe.
