Back Yard Robin Nest
A few weeks ago, a bird hastily fluttering away alerted me to the presence of a robin's nest built on top of the drain-pipe at the back of my house. A quick look when Mom was away showed four little blue eggs so I went out and bought a outdoor Nest cam (apropos, I know) to keep an eye on it. This is a compilation of clips I took as the babies hatched, ate, grew, and eventually fledged.
Some of my favorite moments:
00:56 - Mom's surprise and dance as first egg hatches
09:46 - Mom teasing babies with a caterpillar.
15:38 - A worm almost too big to get down.
18:30 - Sharing (or not) a worm.
21:37 - SHOVE
22:33 - Out and back.
23:15 - Lonely little bird.
