Backlog Resolution: Nightmare Kart Part 5
After that disappointing outcome, I go back to the one stage I genuinely hated during the main campaign to get the last Moon Shard, blow up all the other hunters again, and finally get to chase down Miralodia. Did not expect this game to have overlap with Destiny 2 of all things, but sword flying turns out to be a required tactic to complete the game. It... doesn't go well this time around, leading to the other bad ending.
Nightmare Kart is the legally distinct throwback to PS1 era kart racer/battler games with some early PS1 From Software charm mixed in (as a lifelong Armored Core fan, I love it so much). Created by Lilith "Bunlith" Walther and her team at LWMedia, the inspirations behind this game are far too vast to single out any overarching franchise, so I won't even try. Mixing a gothic vibe, goofy characters, and a variety of awesome gameplay modes, this April Fool's joke turned real game is more than worth the price of admission. And you can actually name that price for yourself by downloading the game from:
