Drifting into the dream, I find myself in a personal nightmare: a racing game! I never know what to expect from those and it always takes me a while to get used to them. But the little eyeball guys are cute, so I figure it's fair for me to trust them enough to sign some contract without reading it. What's the worst that could happen?

Nightmare Kart is the legally distinct throwback to PS1 era kart racer/battler games with some early PS1 From Software charm mixed in (as a lifelong Armored Core fan, I love it so much). Created by Lilith "Bunlith" Walther and her team at LWMedia, the inspirations behind this game are far too vast to single out any overarching franchise, so I won't even try. Mixing a gothic vibe, goofy characters, and a variety of awesome gameplay modes, this April Fool's joke turned real game is more than worth the price of admission.
