After another trip to True Vault Hunter mode to get some additional weapons and levels, we finally return to take down EOS. Turns out Torgue weapons and their explosive bonus damage just lets me ignore any reason to use specific elemental damage types when fighting the boss. It took a while, and we had to proc Second Wind many times, but finally we completed the DLC and got our 2 legendaries and a bunch of other loot after sifting through the massive pile left by Shadowtrap. I don't know what mental issue I have that makes this torturous to sift through (probably ADHD), but consider that I was not planning to play this game again at all in the future, and I still stopped to sort through the loot instead of just saying "eff it" and ending the game.

Playing through this game was a worthwhile experience, but I will not miss it now that I'm done. I was not a fan of the gameplay loop here, with me finally realizing that my issues with Borderlands are the same as my issues with the Diablo games and other loot piñata games. After so many hours of play, though, I could handle playing through another game in the series sometime in the future.

"Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!" is the third game in the mainline borderlands series, released between 2 and 3 and one month before the "Tales from the Borderlands" spin-off. Telling the story of the rise or fall (up to interpretation) of Handsome Jack and his compatriots from Borderlands 2, the game introduces 4 new Vault Hunters, including a beloved(?) mascot taking a step into the limelight, for another round of off-the-wall looter shooter fun.
