Backlog Resolution: Septerra Core Part 18
Unable to save the Emperor, Maya and her team have at least managed to acquire one of the legendary keys to the Core, giving them a significant victory over Doskias. Now the team must travel to Ankara to retrieve necessary tools to reveal the true form of the key, but they'll have to confront both Connor's pirates and former Ankaran soldiers turned mercenaries in order to claim those prizes for themselves.
Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator is a console style role playing game released in 1999 by Valkyrie Studios and Monolith Productions. Developed in the late 90s and likely inspired by games like Chrono Trigger and the Final Fantasy series, the game tells the story of Maya as she works with her allies to save the clockwork world of Septerra. With game systems that will be second nature for many JRPG fans and the option for full mouse control, Septerra Core brought the experience of console RPGs to the PC at a time when that wasn't so common as it is today. It might not be an all-time great, but it's certainly interesting and worth a look.
