Bad Boys 4's Trailer Reveals & Hides An Exciting New Cast Addition
The Bad Boys 4 trailer reveals a new cast member, but, in an interesting bit of framing, also hides that exciting new cast addition. After the success and positive reception of Bad Boys 3, the trailer for the new movie was highly anticipated. It came after a relatively long gap, where fans were impatient about future updates about the popular franchise that has been entertaining audiences for over 25 years. The original Bad Boys starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence was released back in 1995, followed by Bad Boys 2 in 2003, and Bad Boys for Life on January 14, 2020. Bad Boys 4, now titled Bad Boys Ride or Die, is slated to release on June 7, 2024.
Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the upcoming movie sees Smith and Lawrence return as detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, respectively. The cast of the upcoming film includes Rhea Seehorn and Eric Dane, along with recurring actors Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paula Núñez, and Jacob Scipio. The Bad Boys 4 trailer promises an action-packed entertainer, with the duo Mike and Marcus on the run as fugitives as Captain Howard is being framed. They're joined by a few new names, one of which is really exciting.
The trailer description on YouTube reveals that Tiffany Haddish is part of the supporting cast. Her name appears as "with Tiffany Haddish" second-to-last before "and Joe Pantoliano." The trailer description also teases the return of the world's favorite Bad Boys, bringing their iconic combination of thrilling action and bizarre comedy. This time, however, there's a twist: Miami's best detectives are now on the run. Finally, according to the YouTube description, Bad Boys 4 is written by Chris Bremner and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Will Smith, Chad Oman, and Doug Belgrad.
As an actress and comedian, Tiffany Haddish is one of the biggest names in comedy these days, as well as being one of the bigger success stories of a stand-up comedian making the leap to acting. One thing the audience can always expect from Haddish is that she'll give a role her all. When she's on screen, her charisma is evident, and not just when she's doing comedic roles that come more naturally to her. With roles in more recent movies like The Card Counter and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Haddish has shown she's equally compelling in dramas and indie films. It will be particularly fun to see her share the screen with Smith and Lawrence in Bad Boys 4, expanding her acting resume once again.
