We review Balatro, a roguelike deckbuilder based off of poker. The developer LocalThunk doesn't really play poker, but felt it was an accessible game to introduce people into the mechanics he really wanted to explore with this experience.

The result? An insanely addicting roguelike experience that keeps you coming back for more. You can chain together combo's with cards like Joker's that give you special modifiers to the game, one-time consumables to change up cards on the fly or vouchers that let you modify the entire run. Fail? Start from zero and try again. And again. And again.
