I thought a few people might have trouble with this so I decided to upload a video of a run. Sorry for the audio. Game is messed up. My buttons are: L1 to jump, L2 to block, R1 to attack, R2 to magic attack, X for map, rest are the same.

Notes:
1. Dark Alliance has this thing where the enemy won't attack you unless you're directly in front of them, so you can abuse this by being off-axis, hit them, and keep rotating around. Especially strong versus bosses.

2. Look out for bombs in chests and you can die real easy when surrounded by enemies; be wary. You can pick up armor and trinkets for added defense and stats.

3. You have to kill everything in the gauntlet. If you head for the exit and there's still an enemy it'll notify you. This happened to me back on the ps2, a kobold early on. The archers will run away, even back down the way you came, and there's no radar or ping to let you know. So have a look around when you're opening chests for any stragglers.

4. Your main damage is melee. Icy sphere and repulsion are most utility and added damage. If you rely on repulsion especially to clear out rooms like the imps you'll fail. It takes too long. It does low damage and has a cooldown so you can't spam.

Actual Gauntlet:
Spider Room:
If you can pull spiders out to lower the numbers then great; it'll be easier to lead them around and get shots in. If not, repulsion is your friend. It costs little mana, but has a cooldown, so try to hit as many as possible for damage then go for the one farthest away from the others so you're not being attacked while doing damage.

Kobold Area:
Kobolds have little health. I go for the archers and shaman, since chasing them wastes time, and use repulsion to damage the melee. A few repulsion blasts WILL kill them. Look out for being surrounded and have health potions ready. Your health will melt.

Umber Hulks Room:
Umber Hulks have a lot of health and damage. I lead them one at a time to the kobold room, using icy sphere to keep aggro. You'll be spending a lot of time running around or wasting potions if you try to take them all on at once, which I haven't tried. Maybe I'm wrong.

Big Spiders Area:
Unlike the Umber Hulks, the spiders won't follow you all the way into the previous area. Well, they will, but it's really hard. It's easier to lead them to the torch in the corridor. The big spiders hit hard, do poison damage, and their speed makes them hard to lead around safely. Lead them into the corridor and be ready for when they start to turn back; you can get shots in, especially if you slow them with icingdeath, and can shoot icy sphere if they're out of range. They take a lot of hits, so don't do what I did and become impatient and get trapped. Almost died.

Gnolls and Kobold Shaman Room:
Gnolls do good damage, but have little health. You can run in, kill the kobold shamans, and repulse the gnolls; or draw them out, block, then counter, or dance around them. Friendly fire is a thing in this game, and the kobolds will shoot their spells into the gnolls if you're positioned properly.

Gnolls 2 Room:
Block, counter attack, or dance around the gnolls. This room is easy.

Imps Room:
The imps do A LOT of damage, and Drizzt is squishy. Going inside is suicide. Draw them out with icy sphere and fight a few at a time.

Drow, Spiders, Onyx Soldier (Final) Room:
Drow have less health than the spiders. Kill them first, then the spiders. Dance around the Onyx soldier and head for the exit when finished. This room is really easy. Congrats, you're done!
