In this chapter, our heroes descend into the ancient ruins of Kanaglym, where they find new armor for M'Khiin, finally free Neera's mind from Adoy's haunting presence, and, most importantly, defeat a cabal of evil necromancers caught in the process of converting living slaves to zombies. After this, the party travels to the Warrens, a cave right below the basement of Dragonspear Castle, where they meet a relative of Glint who convinces the Ogres guarding the lift to the basement to let David and his friends use the lift. Before doing that, however, the party backtracks to the Coalition Camp for a little R&R and a companion exchange (Corwin returns to the party in M'Khiin's place).

[Note: The end of this episode features the infamous "trans" dialog from Mizhena, triggered upon returning his amulet, which seemingly broke many a true gamer's heart back in its time. In all honesty, the reaction was pretty ridiculous, given that it has no bearing on the overall story whatsoever.]
