In this Barotrauma tutorial video, we'll cover two advanced Regex features that will help you achieve mastery over the component. The two features are capture groups and conditionals. For simplicity, we'll discuss these using letters in a string but you can also apply this knowledge to capturing a range of numbers within an expression. As you may know, a number range is an interval where a target number falls between two other numbers. For example, the target number 57 falls within the number range of 1 to 100. So how we set up the input will determine what can be matched.

Additional to learning about capture groups, we will also cover how to use conditional statements to control the output based on the groups captured. In other words, you will learn how to use any captured group as the specific output. By understanding how to use conditionals within capture groups, you'll be able to create more accurate and robust Regex patterns!

If you're interested in learning more about Barotrauma Regex capture groups or just want to improve your skills as a regexer or want to start using them in your submarine editor projects or deep dive campaign escapades, then be sure to watch this video! By the end, you'll have the skills you need to capture number range data with Barotrauma Regex capture groups and use it in your projects! By following this capture group tutorial, you'll be able to create powerful and efficient regex monitors, controllers, and output systems for your barotrauma adventures!

Barotrauma is a game about piloting a submarine in the oceans of Titan, a moon orbiting the planet Jupiter. As you pilot your submarine with a crew of mates or bots or a combination of both, you will have missions to carry out. Some of these will involve cargo transport, while others involve taking down alien creatures small and large. There is also another element to this game, which is building submarines.

In this video, you will see me within the submarine editor as I explain how Regex operates. This is just one of many components that you can use on your submarines to achieve finer system control over your devices. I wouldn't say coding is a pre-requisite for learning regex but learning regex would also not qualify you as a coding expert. It is simply a syntax language that can be used to generate special word searches.
