Minecraft in Unreal Engine - Procedural Block Generation - Devlog Part One
Welcome to Part 1 of our journey to create Minecraft using Unreal Engine 5! I've always been fascinated by Minecraft and its block-based world, and I'm thrilled to finally have the chance to create something similar using UE5. In this video, we'll be focusing on the mechanics of generating blocks using UE5's powerful blueprint system. From creating a single block to generating a blob of blocks and diving into procedural generation, we'll cover it all. Plus, we'll be using the custom camera system from my previous video, 'UE5 Tutorial: Create a Flying Pawn,' to explore the environment as we build the game.
Stay tuned for the upcoming parts of this series, where we'll explore flat world creation, terrain generation, and graphical obstacles. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more game development tutorials, demos and insights!
