The Taliban attack on Camp Bastion in which two US marines died has been blamed on complacency. MPs on the defence select committee have found security was inadequate, and that British commanders must shoulder their share of the blame. In their report the committee say they are "satisfied that as far as possible" security vulnerabilities have now been addressed.
