Bastion has always been an interesting weapon, given that it's literally the only weapon of its kind with it being a kinetic 3-shot burst Fusion Rifle, and ever since Bungie announced they were basically giving it BOTH One-Two Punch AND Trench Barrel, I immediately raised my eyebrows! My first thought was to test how much dealing melee damage improved the weapons' damage, and to my delight it's a very nice 45% damage buff that lasts for around 9 seconds. This is the Trench Barrel-like perk, but unlike Trench Barrel, the buff doesn't disappear after firing 3 shots, which is also pretty nice. The melee damage increase also happens to be identical to One-Two Punch with it being a 2x multiplier, though it does only last for around 2.5 seconds, so in my humble opinion the better way of using it nowadays is to spam as many melees as possible to keep the 45% damage buff uptime. We also took the gun to Taniks to see how it faired and I think it will surprise you, anyway, please enjoy the breakdown!
